Red-breasted Flycatcher at Harry's walls

Including this one that I found at Harry's Walls, there were a total of 3 Red-breasted Flycatcher on St Mary's

Redwing and Song Thrush were heard overnight with a single Skylark. Throughout today, scarcities were popping up, left, right and center and because of work, I couldn't get to see any of them. What I missed included, a Red-throated Pipit over the quay that Martin Elliot picked up on call just as he got off the boat! Later it was relocated by Graham Gordon on the deck where I park me wagon at the entrance of Star Castle!! Seth Gibson and Kevin Rylands picked up a American Golden Plover over Sandy Lane and Will Scott found 2 Richard's Pipit at Trewince, a Red-breasted Flycatcher at Bishops View and a possible Olive-backed Pipit at Maypole. another Red-breasted Flycatcher and 2 Dusky Warbler were at Lower Moors. It looks like the Standing Stone Dusky Warbler has joined up with the individual at Shooters pool.

I was itching to get out and I managed to get in an hour off at 16.00. In the Trench Lane area there were a single Siberian Chiffchaff, the Northern 'type' Willow Warbler, House Martin, 2 Yellow-browed Warbler, 2 Swallow, 50+Redwing and 10+Chiffchaff. I didn't have much time left and doin the fields at the back of Rose Hill and came across a showy Red-breasted Flycatcher in the Elms at the east side of harry's Wall. Nearby there were 5 Chiffchaff and a single Siberian Chiffchaff. The Black Redstart was still at the airport.

I had this vocal Siberian Chiffchaff at Trench Lane

While taking pics of this Yellow-browed Warbler at Trench Lane, I could another nearby

Up to 6-700 Redwing were on St Mary's. I got over 50 at Lower Moors

Another Siberian Chiffchaff, this one didn't call and was at Rose Hill and

I only observed this Red-breasted Flycatcher for a few minutes due to returning to work

Also on St Mary',s Ring Ouzel were in good numbers with at least 15+ on St Mary's including 5 at Holy Vale. The Chaffinch had moved out from the 1000s yesterday and had been replaced by smaller numbers of Redwing with up to 6-700 and 30+Fieldfare. Less than 10 Hawfinch were still knocking around and there was a Little Stint was at Porthloo. The SURF SCOTER was in Porth Mellon this morning before ending back in the Tresco Channel.

On St Agnes a Dusky Warbler was trapped and ringed in the Chapel Fields and Mark Halliday found an Olive-backed Pipit on Gugh. 3 Hawfinch were on St Martins.

Marie Fisker is from Copenhagen, Denmark. As a singer she has appeared in various contexts before releasing her long awaited debut album Ghost Of Love in 2009. With the album she surfaced as a composer and bandleader with an original, strong and personal sound.
‘Ghost Of Love’ could be described as a blend of Rock ‘n Roll, folk and progressive pop with a penchant for country music’s slide guitar and a cinematic universe. A bitter sweet almost David Lynch alike imaginary expression with sometimes a more rough and noisy psychedelic approach. The structure of the music kept uncomplicated but very effective; every thing’s carefully slotted in its place to just punctuate and enhance her silky, sultry voice. The lyrics are far from sentimental. If the music makes you slightly dizzy and makes you feel the presence of some undercurrent, so does her lyrics.
On her critically acclaimed debut album ‘Ghost Of Love’ the instrumentation is somewhat simple but powerful, supporting her voice full of intensity. The male singer Steen Jorgensen (Sort Sol) also appear on the album in a duet with Marie on the song Good Till Now, and on the single City Lies. The record was written and produced by Marie herself along with co-producer Jakob Hoyer in their shared studio and mixed by Nikolaj Norlund. Besides Marie Fisker and Jakob Hoyer the recordings and live band consists of Rune Kjeldsen (Savage Rose), Anders Christensen (Poul Motion). The album was also released in Germany 2010 and very well received.
